Celestial Bodies

The universe contains various celestial bodies, some of which can be interacted with (e.g. planets) and others that cannot (stars and suns).

Constellations

Regions of the universe that contain a concentration of stars, and are likely also home to planetary systems of suns and planets. A player who discovers a new constellation has the right to give it a name, and will also be the first to explore its planets and their properties and natural reserves.

Planetary Systems

These are made up of planets that orbit a central star. Planetary systems are discovered by chance as a player is jumping through space and time. As with constellations, the discoverer has the privilege of naming the system.

Planets

Planets can be gaseous, rocky, aquatic, or ice. Each planet has its own lore and background.

A planet that is “minable” is home to various natural resources. It may also be home to various life forms. These can be microbial, plant, or intelligent. Intelligent life may or may not be carbon-based.

A planet that contains life may well be habitable. A habitable planet may be colonized with bases, settlements, and eventually cities. The creation of colonies will be key to the expansion of the in-game economy and the functioning metaverse itself.

In the case of a planet that is not habitable, it may be possible to make the planet habitable through the process of terraforming. This requires time and expense, but is a worthwhile investment if it can be achieved without interruption and the resources are available.

Minerals & Materials

Minerals can be mined or purchased, and either used directly (e.g. fuel) or molded into objects (parts for a ship, or armor and equipment for an avatar).

The following minerals can be found at the main planets:

Jove Echo: Carbon, Hydrogen, Diamond

Mangala-Y: Iron, Steel, Coal, Obsidian Earth-3: Limonite, Lead, Limited Iron

Venus: Gold, Platinum, Limited Iron, Limited Steel

If discovered, resources can be mined at no cost, and can also be sold or purchased on an exchange (shop or marketplace).

Different materials can be combined or ‘fused’ together to generate synthetic resources, which can in turn be combined with other materials (known as a ‘recursive fusion event’).

Raw natural resources discovered on planets are generated randomly (i.e. distributed unevenly throughout the universe), are divisible, and can be depleted.
