Space Stations

As much larger structures, space stations are capable not only of travel but also storing and transporting spaceships to other locations in the galaxy. With a larger number of slots they are also capable of more advanced levels of jump capacity and weapons power.

However, their higher energy consumption (compared to a standard spaceship) means that travel over long distances can be expensive in terms of fuel and repairs.

A key use of Space stations is as centers of commerce, housing shops and other retail outlets for the sales of items, contributing to the economic power of the civilization that owns them.
