How to Play

In order to play, the minimum requirement is that a user owns a ship. This requires a user to purchase the materials to build a craft, as well as the fuel to enable it to make its first journey.

The aim is then to travel to different galaxies and mine different minerals, which can be used to build new spacecraft and reach new galaxies, or else be sold on the marketplace for liquid currency.

Exploration

Players with a craft (spaceship or space station) can travel freely about the metaverse (e.g. from Jupiter to Mars), provided their ship has enough fuel for the journey. Exploration consists of first locating a new constellation, and then searching the constellation for planetary systems (a central star orbited by planets that may be minable and/or habitable).

Mining

Mining takes place on planets where materials and resources can be found. In order to mine a planet, a ship must be properly equipped with the correct capabilities of a mining vessel (see later section ‘Requirements’). The player must then navigate the mining ship to the coordinates of the planet.

During the mining process, the ship is unable to engage in other activities. When the process stops or the resource runs out, the owner of the ship is free to move. The process of mining thus exposes a player to the risk of contact with a player from an opposing faction.

Fighting

Combat is carried out in a similar fashion to the strategy game ‘Battleships’.

An attacker engages an opponent by guessing at their coordinates (since the precise location of other players is not revealed) and launching rockets in the hope of damaging or destroying the enemy’s ship. In a battle scenario, players take turns to launch attacks until one withdraws or is destroyed.

NFT Marketplace

As stated the ultimate goal of Dreams Maker is to create a functioning and sustainable Metaverse economy together with one's faction or guild. This is achieved not only by gathering resources, but by building Space Stations that can accommodate shops and other commercial locations. These space stations can also be sold and traded within the Dreams Maker NFT Marketplace. The Dreams Maker NFT Marketplace acts as a traditional in-game marketplace might typically function but in this case it incorporates the local governing crypto currency DRMX.

The Dreams Maker NFT Marketplace is custom built to act as not just your way to get started playing the game by purchasing your avatar, ship, and any other materials you might want to use as assets on your journey, but also as a trading hub that allows players to level up their goods, re-sell items that they've built within the game, or even using NFT Atomic Swap technology to bring their NFTs from other platforms like BSC to life in the Dreams Maker universe. The Space Stations which are built by players in the game can also be sold on the marketplace, allowing for players with enough resources to either purchase them directly to add them to their home planet or use as a trading good (one of the most valuable). The NFT marketplace takes every single in-game item and allows for owners to trade them, profit from them, and utilise them as true NFTs, this is what makes the NFT marketplace key to the economic growth of Dreams Maker.
